On July 11-12, 2005, John Dodds ran the Badwater 135-mile Ultramarathon in California across Death Valley and to Mt. Whitney. He wore bib number 64. Three members of John's club, the Virginia Happy Trails Running Club -- James Moore, Carolyn Gernand, and Joe Malinowski -- supported him. Together, the four are known as "Team 64."

As many of you may know, John's son Matthew, now 14 years old, has cerebral palsy. In connection with this race, John is raising money for the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) Research and Educational Foundation. On this Web site, you can read more about Matthew and cerebral palsy. If you would like to make a contribution, go here. Thanks for your support!
